Mary Dugdale Joins National Sleep Therapy as Patient Logistics Coordinator

National Sleep Therapy has attracted another talent to our growing company - we hired Mary Dugdale as Patient Logistics Coordinator. She brings 25 years of customer service experience to the company and an enthusiasm for health services. Mary is excited to be a part of a growing organization where she has access to sophisticated and innovative patient engagement tools. She has an in-depth understanding of healthcare, Medicare, reimbursements and changing healthcare regulations. “Mary’s experience and positive attitude makes her the perfect addition to our company which is so passionate about comprehensive patient care, disease management and improving patient health outcomes,” said Eric Cohen, National Sleep Therapy’s President and Co-Founder. 

Mary is a very active member of her hometown community of Walpole, MA where she is an elected Town Meeting Member and sits on the Board of Directors for Walpole’s Council on Aging. “Mary’s community outreach is just one more example of her desire to help people achieve the quality of life they deserve,” said Peter Falkson, National Sleep Therapy’s CEO and Co-Founder.

Stephanie Yates Joins National Sleep Therapy as "CPAP Air Traffic Controller"

National Sleep Therapy continues to grow and we are delighted to hire Stephanie Yates as an Office Assistant in our active Scarborough, Maine branch office. The staff has already begun calling Stephanie the “CPAP Air Traffic Controller” as her primary roles is acting as the first responder to patients and physician offices in the busy and expanding branch. “Stephanie brings a sense of calm, humor and, confidence that patients will appreciate when they visit or call our company”, said Eric Cohen, President and Co-Founder of National Sleep Therapy. She supports the Scarborough Office as well as the many National Sleep Therapy branches and regional offices.

Stephanie has 11 years of customer service and business management experience. Before joining National Sleep Therapy, she served as a Customer Service Representative at Hooper Homes / Portamedic in Portland, Maine. She earned her college degree at the University of Maine in Augusta where she focused on Business Management, Interpersonal Communication and Social Psychology. “Stephanie’s expertise in relationship building with clients is a perfect fit with our industry-leading practices of touch-point care.” said Peter Falkson, CEO of National Sleep Therapy.

In October, National Sleep Therapy co-founders Eric Cohen and Peter Falkson will attend Medtrade 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. Medtrade is the largest tradeshow in the U.S. focused exclusively on the home medical equipment market. This year's event will have over 550 exhibitors, 120 educational seminars and exclusive access to information about Medicare's Competitive Bidding program.

National Sleep Therapy Acquires Rest Ensured Medical

We announced today that we have acquired Rest Ensured Medical (REM). As a small, national provider of CPAP, bi-level therapy and related supplies to sleep apnea patients, REM complements our patient minded, technology driven principles. “This acquisition decidedly promotes our strategic vision of expanding our ability to reach a larger population with our advanced patient care methodologies and technologies,” said Peter Falkson, National Sleep Therapy’s CEO and Co-Founder. The REM acquisition marks the beginning of an exciting growth phase for our four-year-old company.

Jody O’Farrell Joins National Sleep Therapy as Sleep Clinician

National Sleep Therapy is committed to recruiting talent and we are delighted to announce that Jody O’Farrell is joining National Sleep Therapy as a Sleep Clinician. Jody works to educate and motivate people with sleep apnea to reach a greater level of health through remote coaching and personal interaction. Sleep apnea impacts over 30 million Americans and she brings to National Sleep Therapy a 20-year background in the respiratory industry. Jody believes “patience and compassion are critical to helping patients succeed”. She was drawn to National Sleep Therapy because “they understand the importance of expert and engaging support to help people get the most from therapy, which is an innovative approach that the entire healthcare community should adopt.”

Before joining National Sleep Therapy, Jody served as Respiratory Therapist Health Coach at Heath Dialog, Inc. in Portland, Maine. She is a certified Asthma Educator (AE-C) and Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS-C). “Jody’s expertise in patient education and her emphasis on behavior change to improve health and wellness will be a great addition to our patient support team.” said Peter Falkson, CEO of National Sleep Therapy.

Joe Zangrilli Joins National Sleep Therapy as Operations Vice President

Our company’s growth, innovation and position as an industry leader has afforded us the opportunity to attract an exciting and important new member to our organization. Joseph Zangrilli joins National Sleep Therapy as our Vice President of Operations. He is responsible for day-to-day operations and managing the continuing growth of the company. Joe brings to National Sleep Therapy a 20-year background in the sleep industry including sleep therapy, sleep diagnostics, and partnering with large institutions to improve patient care. He will further focus the company on accountable care organizations (ACOs), institutional and larger scale utilization programs.

Prior to joining National Sleep Therapy, Joe served as Regional Operations Director for Sleep HealthCenters in New England, Connecticut and New York. “Joe brings us tremendous clinical, operational and business development expertise that will help enhance National Sleep Therapy as the leading provider of sleep management services.” says Peter Falkson, CEO and co-founder of National Sleep Therapy.

Kimberly Belanger Joins National Sleep Therapy as Healthy Advantage Specialist

We are excited to announce that Kimberly Belanger has joined National Sleep Therapy as Healthy Advantage Specialist. She joins our team of sleep specialists that uses our new and innovative healthcare process which helps people using CPAP achieve the best results and health outcomes. She will work with patients throughout their CPAP usage to give a personal touch and ensure their equipment is functioning perfectly. Kimberly brings to National Sleep Therapy five years’ experience in healthcare and customer service. Her volunteer work in New Hampshire state programs, such as Healthy Kids, further developed her compassion and skills in customer service in an often challenging environment. “National Sleep Therapy is the perfect fit for me. Their fundamental goal is patient success and I am motivated by helping people succeed.”

Kimberly has a Health Claims Specialist degree from the Seacoast Career School in Manchester, NH where she was named to the Director’s List and recognized for her peer mentoring.

Sleep therapy compliance is the key to improving your health and your life. National Sleep Therapy is developing a new and easy method to assess the efficacy of CPAP therapy in a way that is relevant to patient outcome and lifestyle improvement. We are calling the new method CPAP Outcome Score or COS. We believe success should be measured by more than the isolated metric of usage hours.

SLEEP 2012 Medical Conference in Boston, MA

The SLEEP Medical Conference is the premier event each year for the sleep medical industry. It attracts more than 5,500 sleep medicine and sleep research professionals due to its comprehensive and in-depth coverage of the latest topics and issues in sleep medicine.

National Sleep Therapy Submits Innovation Challenge Proposal

Last week National Sleep Therapy submitted a 70-page proposal to the Centers for Medicare as part of the CMS Healthcare Innovation Challenge. The proposal detailed its plans for substantially expanding its current ECOsystem of patient care that empowers patients and more seamlessly brings together the patient, physician, and CPAP provider.
